Ben Jones is a stone and wood carver specialising in carved lettering and sundials. He designs and carves letters and inscriptions for memorials, commemorative plaques and signs working with slate, stone, granite and wood. Ben also makes sundials using new and traditional forms. He is happy to work anywhere in the country. Ben studied lettering at The City and Guilds of London Art School from 1981-84. For a while he worked as a monumental mason and then went on to work as a carver mason for Exeter Cathedral. Since 1989 he has worked as an independent letterer, carver and sundial maker.
