Una Sullivan studied Advanced and Experimental Lettering at The City and Guilds of London Art School and has subsequently undertaken calligraphic work and the design and carving of inscriptions and decorative work in stone. She has worked with Memorials by Artists for twenty years.
Aside from commissioned work, Una's focus is on small scale pieces of an intimate nature. Working in fine textured limestones, slate, and gesso panels, she engages with an interest in the experiential nature of poetic texts and the challenge of representing this phenomenon in physical form and in terms of lettering.
